Jeff over at Expect Alternations has noticed
something strange in this week's
New Yorker:
Shouts & Murmurs seems to be directly inspired by, and nastily mocking, January's sad "Prairie Fire" piece about the suicide of teenage prodigy Brendenn Bremmer (blogged
here).
I can't remember ever seeing the
New Yorker eat its own in this way.
