Liberals and anti-corporatists of all stripes will love
The Corporation, a deeply critical documentary look at the evolution, abuses, and long-term stability of the modern corporate state.
You may find the early portion of the movie is a little slow, worryingly like a bad imitation of a Michael Moore movie (the portly filmmaker makes several appearances, along with Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Milton Friedman, and
many others). But once the stage for the rise of the corporation is set and the movie starts getting into specific consequences of unchecked corporatism, your jaw will drop to the floor. Jaimee and I are pretty well-versed in this type of thing and the last two hours of the movie still managed to repeatedly shock us.
Inspiring/terrifying. Watch this movie. You may even be motivated to get up off the couch and hit the streets. I'd be out there with you, if it weren't for this ankle.
