Well, I cracked. I installed
FireFox this morning and have spent the last hour or so
customizing it to my liking.
There's really no reason for anyone
not to use FireFox that I can see. With a very little bit of work you can make FireFox do whatever you want it to.
Welcome to 2004, I guess. I'm a little behind the curve on this, but I'm pleased with the switch so far.
UPDATE: So I installed the big ones:
GmailNotifier,
FoxyTunes, the
Googlebar,
AutoFill,
BugMeNot,
Zoomy, etc. Any FireFox users want to clue me into ones I might be missing?
UPDATE 2: In the comments, Anonymous offers
a few more: "some other good extensions are
sage (built in RSS),
fireFTP (FTP client),
smoothweel (smooths out scrolling),
CookieCuller (extended cookie management) ...
Tweak Network,
FlashBlock (block flash, then click to load)."
