I borrowed the DC Universe
Identity Crisis miniseries from John "Local Comics Guru" Lanning recently, and got a chance to read it today. I'd only intended to read one or two, but I couldn't put it down. It's not as good as
Watchmen (nothing is), but it's in the same ballpark. Check it out when the trade comes, if you're into that sort of thing.
Kill a superhero? That's nothing.
Kill his wife? Now there's a story.
I only wish they'd gone further in showing how far super-powered individuals might be tempted to go to. Like any franchise, DC holds back. They shouldn't.
