Specifically, they're talking about the horrid Klan shootings [more, more] (and subsequent unbelievable acquittals) from 1979, which have been in the news a lot lately because of the Greensboro Truth and Reconciliation Project. I was planning to put something up about this anyway, but Metafilter beat me to the punch.

It's good that people are talking about this.

(Though I don't approve of people saying "Greensboro is a soulless sucking hole of a town with little to distinguish it." We've got soul. We've got so much soul it'll make your head spin.)
