I think it can.
Spent a lot of time rereading
The Watchmen today, and I just can't recommend it enough. If you don't want to
buy it, borrow it. Written in 1986, this story still has a lot to say to us. I don't want to spoil any more.
We're pretty high on the potential of comic book lit here at the
BCR. When we talk about
comic-lit, we're usually talking about essays and memoirs translated to graphic form, with
Maus standing on one hand and the work of R. Krumb on the other. We're not generally talking about superheros.
Here's one case where we are.
The Watchmen transcends the genre.
Can't wait for the
movie.
